Position Overview: We're looking for efficient and enthusiastic morning people to join our team! You'll be responsible for the open kitchen in the morning - preparing breakfast sandwiches, baking cookies, muffins and scones, preparing coffee and espresso drinks, making deli sandwiches and salads for the to-go case, helping with lunch and dinner prep, serving creemees, and assisting customers in a timely manner while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
Morning Cafe Duties:
Preparation of breakfast sandwiches.
Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, including but not limited to dishwashing and general cleaning.
Baking Duties:
Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods according to Lead Cook / Store Owners suggestions and quality standards.
Maintain inventory of baking supplies and communicate needs to the Lead Cook.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Operate and maintain baking equipment safely and efficiently.
Package and label baked goods for display and sale.
Barista Duties:
Assist as needed in the preparation and serving of a variety of hot and cold coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Provide recommendations and answer questions about coffee and tea selections.
Maintain a clean and organized barista station.
Food Prep Duties:
Assemble, package and label sandwiches, salads, and entrees for the to-go case as directed by the Lead Cook and to meet the demand quantities provided by the Store Manager.
Prep ingredients for the grab & go cooler, lunch and dinner services as directed by the Lead Cook
Assemble sandwiches, salads,and lunch entrees for lunch service as directed by the Lead Cook.

Qualifications:
Previous 1-2 yrs experience working in a commercial kitchen, cafe or similar fast-paced environment.
Ability to meet the listed performance and attitude requirements
Ability to stand and move briskly in a kitchen for up to 8 hrs, and lift up to 50lbs.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Certifications:
All employees handling food will be required to complete the 2-hr VT State approved ANSI/ANAB accredited Food Safety Training Course, pass the 40 question exam and obtain their Food Handlers Card.
Any employee who serves alcohol in the cafe must be 18 years or older, and attend an online server training program and obtain certification.
All training and certifications listed above will be paid for by The Elmore Store.

Job Title: Mail Clerk
PT Contract Year Round
Reports: Approximately 2hrs/day, 6 days a week.
Compensation: Equal to the contract amount paid by the USPS, a fixed rate of $35/day.

Your day begins by sorting mail and ends with a satisfied "Inventory Complete", ensuring every package is accurately delivered to its P.O. Box. Whether you are sorting daily letters or managing specialized work orders, you are the vital link that keeps our small-town post office running smoothly for the community.
Responsibilities:
1. Digital Scanner Handling
Employ Post Office scanner for mail tracking
2. Receiving & Sorting
Check-In: Record the "Arrival at Unit" for the day's mail.
Package Delivery: Scan incoming packages & sort to appropriate storage shelf
Letter Sorting: Organize letters by box number while setting aside any "Workorder" mail pieces.
3. Specialized Processing
Workorder Scanning: Use the scanner to track mail for specific sample boxes
Deposits: Prepare P.O. box rent deposits whenever necessary
Certified: Manage any out-going certified letters while on duty
Point-Person: Answer any mail-related questions from staff & proactively communicate. Communicate with Morrisville Post-Office and Post Master whenever necessary.
4. Daily Closing
Inventory: Follow procedures to complete daily mail inventory
Paperwork: Complete required postal paperwork & ready mail for pick-up

Job Title: Grocery Cashier

Position Overview: As a Grocery Cashier, you are the face of our store, providing friendly, efficient, and accurate checkout service to our valued customers. Your primary responsibility is to process customer transactions with efficiency and accuracy while ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized checkout area and assisting with other front-end duties as needed. Occasionally morning shifts may need to assist the MOD with mail distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Assist customers in locating products and answer their questions accurately and efficiently.

Transaction Processing:
Scan all items accurately and efficiently.
Operate the cash register and handle various payment methods (cash, credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, mobile payments) with accuracy.
Make the correct change and issue receipts.
Process returns and exchanges according to store policy.
Handle coupons and discounts correctly.
Ensure all transactions are completed in compliance with legal and store regulations.
Cash Handling and Balancing:
Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift.
Count and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
Report any discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Secure cash and other valuables according to store procedures.
Checkout Area Maintenance:
Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
Ensure adequate supplies are available (bags, register tape, etc.).
Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
